The Lynn County Courthouse, built in 1916, is an
outstanding example
of the type of public architecture that appeared on the South Plains
during the region's formative years. This lovely three-story structure
was originally built to serve the county as both courthouse and jail.
The red brick veneered building is the centerpiece of Tahoka.
The Lynn County Courthouse is a major historical and architectural
landmark and is one of the oldest surviving courthouses on the Texas
South Plains.
